City of Monroe ABC
Your Trusted Partner in Responsible Alcohol Sales
In the pursuit of mitigating the hazards associated with alcohol consumption, various States have implemented controlled systems of alcohol distribution. The North Carolina ABC system serves as a noteworthy example, embodying several measures that align with the objective of curbing the negative consequences of alcohol.
At Monroe ABC, we prioritize your safety and the well-being of our community. Our commitment extends beyond providing quality spirits - we actively promote responsible drinking through the North Carolina ABC System.

Dedication to Your Safety
Age Restrictions:
You must be 21 years or older to purchase alcoholic beverages. Individuals 18, 19, and 20 are not allowed on the premises of Monroe ABC. An entire group of people can be refused if any member of the group is underage or unable to produce an acceptable form of ID. The exception is children under the age of 18 and accompanied by a parent or guardian. We Strictly enforce these rules. This stringent regulation aims to prevent underage drinking, recognizing the heightened vulnerability of younger individuals to the adverse effects of alcohol and the potential for long-term consequences on their health and well-being.
Limited Hours of Sale:
To discourage excessive drinking and promote responsible consumption, the North Carolina ABC system imposes restrictions on the hours during which alcoholic beverages can be sold. Our store adheres to regulated hours of sale. This measure helps in preventing late-night overindulgence and promoting a safer community during vulnerable hours.
Our hours are:
Monday-Saturday : 10am-9pm Sunday : Closed
Monroe ABC operates under a local board, ensuring decisions align with the unique need as preferences of our community.
